30.3.07 On Friday, I (Juli) went on three home visits to HIV patients with Sara (an outpatient clinic nurse), and Sebastian, a masters nursing student, from the UK, studying tropical diseases here. We took the first patient to Chinatown for lunch, we visited another patient and then visited Sara's house, where she lives with ehr parents and sister. Before the last visit we went to East Coast Park to see what the cable ski was all about. It is basically either kneeboarding or wakeboarding while being pulled on a cable around a tracked pool. Its fast!!! All of the patients live in HGB (government housing). These are 10-50 story buildings with 1,ooos of people living there. The apartments are 1 to 4 rooms, the largest being 12ftx8ft. It was a great, eye opening day!
